Role & Responsibilities
- Controlling and coordinates activities involved with bakery production, sale, and distribution of bakery products
- Monitors the freshness and quality of all baked goods; monitors sell-by date on related products and proper FIFO rotation of stock
- Follow up variety and quantity of bakery products to be produced, according to orders and sales projections
- Control sales activities, following standard business practices
- Ensures safety of all employees and customers; safety equipment and safety protective wear utilized at all times, department is safe from potential accidents, and spills are never left unattended
- Follow up with suppliers to arrange purchase and delivery of bakery supplies
- Implements, through subordinate managerial personnel, policies to utilize human resources, machines, and materials productively as assigned by Section Manager
- May also train subordinates in all phases of bakery activities
- May also manage bakery that produces only specialty products, for example bagels or pastries
- May also manage bakery that sells products to general public, and may also prepare bakery products
Skills & Requirement
- Certificate/Diploma in Bakery and Pastry Production
- Strong Understanding of Bakery Production and Food Safety
- Understanding of Inventory Management and Stock Control
- Able to work in Shift Assignment
- Positive Attitude
