On 31 August 2022, Market Linkage Support Activity Event was hosted by Sun Business Network (SUN) Myanmar. World Food Programme (WFP)
The purpose of this event was for the food SMEs to showcase their innovative local products, to gain networking opportunities with buyers, retailers, distributors and E-commerce platform organizations and to have readiness for entering retailers platforms and to become familiar with retail processes.
Representative from Makro Ma Khine Zin Su (Jilly) the Product Development Manager – shared her experiences on challenges of retailers when working with food SMEs as the topic of “What Challenges Retailers face in doing Business with Food SMEs”.
Also, Panel discussion on topic “Opportunities and entry points in different retail channels to maximize the availability of safe, nutritious food in Myanmar – Pathways and strategies for penetration for SMEs” was happened in which
- the president of Myanmar Retail Association – U Thurein Nyein,
- the Products Group Manager of Makro Myanmar – Ma May Thet Khine,
- Manager, Head of Vendor Acquisition Myanmar of Shop.com.mm,Ko Pyae Oo participated as speakers
The panel discussion successfully ended with fruitful discussions and questions and answers from the attending guests.
